MERRY CHRISTMAS

Merry Christmas everyone! I wish you all the best, may peace and joy fill your heart this Christmas! I hope you will all have an amazing day with friends and family!

This is my last post of 2015. There will be one more post in December, which I have already prepared and prescheduled. It will go up next week, as a special holidays bonus post - a beauty box I've received this week. Now I will take some time of, to rethink about my blog, come up with new ideas and projects for a new year. I know that 2016 will be an amazing year and I cannot wait to share my experiences with you. I hope you will all enjoy these holidays and see you in January 2016!

Dear 2016 / My New Year's Resolutions

This is my last proper post for 2015 so now it's definitely time for my New Year's goals I want to achieve in 2016. In general I like to keep them quite realistic, because that's the only way I won't feel disappointed by the end of next year - people mostly break their promises by the end of January and I don't want to be a part of that group. So I don't like to emphasise the fact that these are New Year's resolutions, but just some things I want to change or improve in 2016 - it definitely takes off the pressure in that way. These resolutions have already been a part of my daily routine the last few months, so I want to continue with them and also do some upgrading. I hope that when looking back on this post I'll feel like I have accomplished what I've set my mind to.
What would you like to achieve in 2016? Let me know in the comments below.

1. Stop being sloppy.
2. Learn one new word each day.
3. Move more, at least 10,000 steps a day.
4. Be more grateful.
5. Create a positive attitude. It’s easier to be negative than positive.
6. Sleep more.
7. Post regularly, especially on blog and Instagram - but remember: quality over quantity!

Christmas Day Makeup Look / 2015

Good Morning!

So because it's almost Christmas I decided to prepare a Christmas Day Makeup look for you today. Products I've used in this post are the ones I've been absolutely loving in 2015 and know they'll not disappoint me on an important day or event.

BASE
Because it's practically winter now I try to keep my foundation looking fresh and dewy, even though I have quite oily skin already (which can be a challenge). First I apply an oil-free moisturiser to keep my skin hydrated and then my new favourite foundation, Bourjois 123 Perfect in the lightest shade (51). For the application I use the Real Techniques expert face brush. It is the best foundation brush I've ever used - the whole Real Technique's line is just amazing. For concealing I use my two trusted concealers, which I've been using for years now: for the under-eye circles I use the L'Oreal La Touche Magique highlighting concealer and for the rest of my face I use Mac Pro Longwear in NC 20. Both are my holy-grail products, easy to apply and provide great coverage. To give my face some life and dimension back, I use the best bronzer for contouring in my opinion, which is Hoola by Benefit, a Freedom peachy blush in Angelic and to add some highlight I use either TheBalm Mary-Lou Manizer or Mac Soft and Gentle. It depends on what kind of a glow I want to go for - for a more intense highlight I use theBalm highlighter and for a more subtle glow I use Soft and Gentle. These are some really hyped products but totally worth the money - they are all amazing.

BROWS
I absolutely love the look of bold and defined brows, so I take quite some time of my whole makeup routine to fill them in. I start with my Anastasia Brow Wiz in Taupe - with light strokes I try to achieve an illusion of bigger brows, then continue to fill and enhance the arches of the brows with Benefit Gimme Brow in Light/Medium and top everything off with L'Oreal Brow Artist Plumper - a clear brow gel to keep them in place. This is a combination I've been using for months now and it works great for me.

EYES
I will keep my eye-look very simple, rose toned - first I'll prime the eyelids with Maybelline Colour Tattoo in the shade Creme d'Nude (which is an awesome dupe for Mac Soft Ochre Paint pot), continued with a more subtle shimmery shade on a lid and a purple shade in the crease. I chose a palette from Catrice, Absolute Rose. It's a great drugstore option, affordable and quite pigmented. I'll also define the eyes with L'Oreal liquid eyeliner and Maybelline Lash Sensational Mascara. Again, very simple because I want the red lips to be the most important part of this year's Christmas makeup look.

LIPS
Red lips are definitely a signature look of every beauty blogger on Christmas Day or in December in general. Last year I wore my Rimmel Kate Moss lipstick in 107, but for this year I decided to wear a bright red shade. First I'll also use a lip-liner for a more precise look - Rimmel Exaggerate Full Colour Lip Liner in Eastend Snob, because it's the best your-lips-but-better colour. Then I'll apply Bourjois Rouge Edition Liquid Lipstick in Hot Pepper. It's the perfect shade for the Christmas Dinner, because it doesn't transfer and when it wears off a bit, leaves a nice and even stain to the lips.

So this is my Christmas Day Makeup Look. Hope you enjoyed this post! Let me know your favourite products in the comments below.

Pre-New-Year's Blogger Event #lepotno2016

Good Morning!

I was very happy when I received an invitation in my mailbox for the #lepotno2016 beauty blogger's party. So last Wednesday I attended my first ever blogger event, a Pre-New-Year's Blogger Event with the official hashtag #lepotno2016. I had so much fun meeting and chatting with other beauty bloggers, eating good food and posting new pictures to Instagram, while winning some great prizes. This was my first ever beauty event, so I was a bit nervous when I first arrived, but everybody was very nice and friendly, so I had a really great time. You can look through the official pictures and read more about the event here.
The lovely sponsors also prepared a few gift for us, which I am very excited to try out.
AlpStories made personalised gifts for every single one of us, which was very thoughtful. It's also a great gift idea for your friends and family. So if you would like to know more about AlpStories, go check out their official website and their lovely range of products. In my packet there were: Body Milk in Cherry, Massage Oil in Lavender, Bath Salt, Chamomile Shower Gel and Body Milk.
Jessica prepared a nail polish in 699 Smoky Feather. It's a gorgeous silvery shade, perfect for the upcoming holiday parties. I'll definitely post a picture of wearing the nail polish on Christmas Eve Party, so be sure to follow me on Instagram.
There was also one of my favourite nail brands, which I use all the time - Alessandro shimmery nail polish, but I'm not really sure, which shade it is. Still, it looks lovely. It's the perfect shade, which is very versatile and useful all year round.
My newfound favourite Slovene brand has to be 4 Kids and Us, with it's gorgeous packaging and products. I love their whole concept and design - natural products with minimalistic design and packaging. I received an Anti-Cellilute Body Milk, which is definitely worth trying out, because I absolutely adore it.
I'm so grateful for all the gifts and this experience in general. Thanks to Ajda and Gabi for a great event. We had a lovely time and I to hope do this again sometime soon!

My Wardrobe Staples of 2015

In the beginning of this year I have cleaned out my closet to make a fresh start and start investing in more versatile wardrobe pieces. I actually don't own that many clothes, so I basically love and wear everything that I own. My most worn pieces in 2015 were a basic white shirt, which I love to pair with black ripped jeans or mom jeans, for a sophisticated yet casual look. Besides mom and black ripped jeans I was also obsessed with this year's comeback trend - the dungarees. My favourite outfit featuring the dungarees was with a long sleeved striped shirt, Adidas Stan Smith trainers and a Robe Camel coat. It really has been a year of trainers - you could spot Adidas and Nike trainers everywhere. Definitely one of my favourite 2015 trends, so I really hope it continues as well in 2016.
I also mentioned in my yesterday's post that 2015 was a year of pencil skirts, which I worn with heels, Chelsea boots, trainers, oversized coats, trench coats, etc. They are very versatile and make your figure look amazing! For the accessories I mainly wore my adored Fedora hat and classic Daniel Wellington watch, which I both featured in many OOTD posts.

So this are my wardrobe staples of 2015:

My favourite Outfits of 2015

Good Morning!

The next few posts will all be dedicated to the end of 2015, from favourite beauty to fashion items. I decided to start with my favourite 2015 outfits, because it's been a year of many different fashion posts. They have also been my favourite to prepare and write about. I started with my OOTD posts in the beginning of October with the relaunch of Ana Blush and this is a selection of my favourites. It's been a year of the monochrome, black&white outfits. My two go-to outfits this year were: pencil skirts (which look great on every figure, so everyone should own one) with an oversized coat or black ripped jeans with a turtle neck shirt and a leather jacket. Two very different "styles", yet both minimalistic, which I absolutely adore.
If you would like to check out the full versions of the outfit posts, you can access them if you click the STYLE category.

Which one is your favourite? Let me know in the comments below.

Review: Rimmel Lasting Finish by Kate Moss Nude Collection Lipstick in no. 42

Today's review is about the new Lasting Finish by Kate Moss Nude Collection lipsticks from Rimmel. There are 4 different shades and a lip balm in this collection to suit different skin tones and tastes. I absolutely love wearing a nude lipstick on an everyday basis so I was really excited to try this one out. I decided to try out the shade No. 42, because I'm quite pale and I thought it would go great with my skin tone.

What it claims: British rose or caramel beauty, every girl needs a nude lipstick. Iconic nude, chic nude, trendy nude, rock it like Kate Moss. Go-bare with total confidence and a full-on London attitude. This season's hottest trend is totally chic - sheer, tone-on-tone, natural lip and nails shades to match and compliment every complexion. Beautify your barely-there look with the new iconic Nude Collection by Kate Moss! (on Rimmel official website)

Retail price: £5.49

My experience: I've been a fan of Rimmel lipsticks for years now, and every time there is a new project (collaboration) with Kate Moss, I know we are in for a treat. I especially love their Matte Kate Moss lipstick collection - I own the iconic 107 and a nude shade in 03, and they are both amazing.
I'm a really big fan of the Rimmel lipstick formulation. It's really creamy, opaque and comfortable on the lips with subtle sweet scent. The shades in this collection are all very wearable and look lovely on every skin tone. Each lipstick gives a satin finish to the lips with a good amount of colour payoff. If you have a fair skin tone like me, then you should avoid nudes which contain too much yellow, because they tend to wash you out. Choose a nude which has a slightly more pink hue, like this one I've tried out (No 42). It's a bit darker than 40, which in my opinion isn't very wearable, because it's very light. So if you are pale like me then is shade in 42 perfect for your complexion!
Also do bear in mind that these lipsticks aren't particularly long-lasting, so be prepared to reapply it after 2-3 hours (which is still great for a drugstore lipstick). All in all this is a great lipstick and I'll be definitely buying it again!

Have you tried out any of the Rimmel lipsticks? Let me know in the comments below.

In this post I'll feature the homeware presents, which I'll use in my studio, and some items that I bought on the trip to Ikea in Klagenfurt last Saturday. I absolutely love and am really grateful for all the gifts I've received: letter A from the Design Letters & Friends, a book by Gemma Correll called Doodling for Fashionista and some lovely Clipper Tea: Red Fruits & Aronia Berry. From Ikea I mainly purchased small decorative items for the studio. I absolutely love the copper trend at the moment in combination with black and white.

Review: Urban Decay All Nighter Makeup Setting Spray

Today's review is about my holy-grail product, Urban Decay All Nighter makeup setting spray. It's a higher end product, with great reviews online and around the beauty community. This is my second bottle and I am definitely repurchasing it again, because it's well worth all the hype.

What it claims: A weightless setting spray that keeps makeup looking just-applied for up to 16 hours. Developed in an exclusive partnership with SKINDINÄVIA, this groundbreaking, clinically tested formula is suitable for all skin types and features patented Temperature Control Technology. It actually lowers the temperature of your makeup to keep foundation, eyeshadow, blush, and concealer in place—even in hot and humid or cold and windy conditions. The result? Smoother-looking skin and vibrant makeup that lasts all day (or night) without melting, cracking, fading, or settling into fine lines. It is formulated without paragons, sulphites and phthalates.
(as written on Sephora.com)

Retail price: 30 $ (on Sephora or official UD website)

My experience: This spray works wonders. I've been using it for a while now, from my prom to the wedding makeup looks I made - I trust this spray for all my special occasions. UD All Nighter is a versatile setting spray, suitable for all skin types. It feels very lightweight on the skin, dries quickly, and has no noticeable scent. It calms any cakey-ness, makes the makeup look a lot more "natural", keeps it fresh and in place longer. It definitely is a long lasting product! I really like the spray pump, because it delivers the right amount of product, just the perfect mist. I also love the very light "sheen" it gives after it dries.
Even though the price is quite high for a spray, it's a much finer spray than the copy-cat products (does the job so much better than the others). So if you are worried about the price, it is definitely worth the splurge. Plus, you just need a few light sprays and you're good to go. I definitely feel the difference now that I run out of it, so I need to repurchase it asap.
UD All Nighter is an amazing finishing spay, because it gives the makeup better staying power, makes it look fresher and keeps all the oil in place. I highly recommend it!

New in / Fashion Haul

ENG

Today's post is a collective haul over the past month of so. Most of the items are of course from Zara, because I've really been loving their collection lately. It's inspired by the 70s with a mix of monochrome pieces, which I absolutely adore. From Zara I purchased a grey coat in relaxed, oversized fit, a black shirt with front pockets, a turtle neck grey shirt and a denim cropped shirt. I also made a trip to Primark (the closest to us is in Graz), where I purchased some basic items: T-shirts, a striped shirt and a cardigan that I featured in my yesterday's post.
This is it for today. What are some of the items you've recently purchased? Let me know in the comments below!

SLO

Zares me zanimajo vaši novi modni kosi!

Outfit of the Day / Pencil Skirt & Oversized Cardigan

ENG

Good Morning! I hope you all had a great weekend. After a short week-break from my fashion posts, I am now back with another outfit of the day. Today's main feature is my favourite oversized cardigan from Primark, paired with a pencil skirt, simple black shirt and trainers. I love to wear pencil skirts because they elongate your figure and make you look thinner. But they can sometimes be tricky to wear because they can easily make an outfit appear very formal.  I absolutely love to pair a chic pencil skirt with a casual shirt and trainers to achieve a more relaxed and casual look.

SLO

Dobro jutro! Upam, da ste lepo preživeli vikend. Po tednu odmora  je kočno spet čas za novo modno objavo in nov outfit. Danes vam bom predstavila svoj najljubši "oversized" plašč/jopico iz Primarka v kombinaciji z dolgim krilom, črno srajco in supergami. Sama zelo rada nosim dolga krila, saj nas optično podaljšajo in obenem ustvarjajo videz bolj suhe postave.

Fall/Winter Makeup

Good Morning!

For today's post I prepared my Fall/Winter makeup routine and products that I love to use this time of the year. I use a very fresh and lightweight base, 123 Perfect CC Cream from Bourjois, because it gives medium coverage and keeps my skin hydrated in the colder days. Even though I naturally have very oily skin, it becomes very dry in the winter, so I have to use something more hydrating instead of my L'Oreal True Match foundation, which is more on the matte side. For the under-eye highlight I use L'Oreal Perfect Match La Touche Magique in Ivory Beige and finish my base with Bourjois Healthy Balance powder in 52 Vanilla. I love this powder because it adds light coverage to the skin and smoothes it out.
For brows I use my very well loved Anastasia Beverly Hills Brow Wiz in Taupe and L'Oreal Brow Artist Plumper in transparent.
For cheeks I use TheBalm Mary-Lou Manizer for that perfect, yet very intense, glow and Mac Blush in Fleur Power to give my face back some colour. Sometimes I would also add some Hoola Bronzer from Benefit if I feel like I'm too pale that day.
For eyes I use a variety of colours and looks from the Naked 2 Palette (my personal favourite out of all the UD palettes), line and define the eyes with L'Oreal Super Liner in black and finish everything with Maybelline Lash Sensational Mascara, my current favourite mascara because it both lengthens and volumizes my eyelashes and has a great price. Best drugstore mascara in my opinion!
For lips I've been using Freedom Pro Butters Lipgloss in D-ream, because it has that brown nude/your-lips-but-better colour and literally goes well with any type of makeup. I also line them with my Rimmel Eastend Snob lipliner or Essence In the nude (11) lipliner - both great drugstore options. Whenever I want to wear a bolder lipstick I always go for the Rimmel Kate Moss Collection in 107.
What are some of the products you love to use this time of the year?
Let me know in the comments below.
