Review: L'Oreal Paris Infallible Mega Gloss Collection

Today's review is about the new Infallible Mega Gloss collection from L'Oreal Paris. This collection offers a wide range of different finishes and shades to suit everyone's tastes. You can choose from cream, matte, neon, dazzle and xtreme finish. The formula is enriched with hyaluronic acid and shine colour pigments, leaving lips hydrated with a high level of shine (according to L'Oreal Paris official website).
This collection is refreshingly different - the formula is thick in consistency, yet feels light weight on the lips and is very comfortable, easy to wear. Lip glosses have a slight fruity smell, which I love, because it's so different from the vanilla/sugary scent they always use. I also absolutely adore the wand applicator because it gives you the perfect control to apply the colour. One side applies the right amount of product, while the other is perfect for shaping and defining. This wand is very similar, maybe a complete dupe for the YSL Gloss Volupte, which isn’t surprising at all, as we all know that YSL and L’Oreal are owned by the same company.

I have chosen 2 cream formulas and 1 matte formula (I'm not really a fan of the glitters):

102 Scream and Shout - perfect everyday, coral colour, lovely to wear on it's own. Sometimes I also like to use it to layer my Mac Shy Girl lipstick and make it look even glossier.
103 Protest Queen - lovely pale, very nude colour, which I usually use to top off my Mac Patisserie lipstick.
407 Smoke Me Up - absolutely love this one, because it's the perfect combination of shiny and matte formula. It won't dry out your lips, is very comfortable to wear and also long-lasting.

They retail for 8,49 Eur.

I absolutely adore these lip glosses. They are opaque enough to wear them on their own or you can use them to top off your lipstick. I love all the purchased shades, but my favourite has to be 407 Smoke Me Up. Even though it's a lip gloss, it has a matte finish. As I've mentioned before I love this combination, because I feel like all my dark matte lipsticks (I already own) really dry out my lips, while this one doesn't do that. It keeps my lips feel hydrated, while providing a fully opaque consistency.
They all feel great, very buttery with absolutely no stickiness. All you need to do is choose the finish that suits you! I would fully recommend them to you!

My Most Used Beauty Products of 2015

As we're now already in the middle of January it's just the right time to make a post about my most used beauty products in 2015. It's been a wonderful and very successful year regarding the beauty side of it. I've tried lots of new products, I've changed up my routines quite a bit and in generally enjoyed using a variety of products throughout 2015. These are my favourite, go-to products, my holly-grails, which I know will work perfectly all the time. I sectioned them into different groups, because there are so many of them. Now let's begin!

Brushes
Firstly, to apply the makeup I need to give some special attention to my favorite brushes - the Real Techniques Blush brush and Expert Face brush. They are the best face brushes I've ever used, both sold at a very affordable price. They are so soft, both blend the makeup seamlessly and make the process of applying makeup so much easier. For the eyes I've been using Kiko brushes, which are another great drugstore option, but I definitely need to try out more brushes from the Real Techniques range.

Eyes
I have very oily eyelids so I need to constantly prime them with either UD Eyeshadow Primer Potion or Maybelline Colour Tattoo in Creme d'Nude. They're both yellowed tone, perfect to neutralise and prime my eyes for the latter eyeshadow application. If you have a budget to splurge on some makeup, I would definitely recommend the UD Primer Potion, because it's a wonderful product.
It has definitely been a year of mascaras. I'm obsessed with trying out new mascaras, so every time I go to the drugstore, I always choose a different one to try out that month. Volume and length is what I always look for in a good mascara. And for 2015 I have 3 favourites, which give me both volume and length: a more affordable option is the Maybelline Lash Sensational mascara, which is the best drugstore mascara right now in my opinion (even though I'd been a constant fan of L'Oreal mascaras). For a more high-end options I absolutely loved YSL Baby Doll mascara and Benefit They're real mascara. I always get compliments when wearing these mascaras, so I know they do a great job and would fully recommend them.
I've raved about this next product so much on my blog already, so I want to give a quick shoutout to the L'Oreal La Touche Magique under-eye concealer and highlighter, perfect product to give my face and eyes back some brightness and achieve a more awake look.
My go-to, most worn eye makeup look in 2015 has been a combination of Mac single matte eyeshadow in Quarry with a bronzer shade (as a transition shade) in the eye socket for the perfect daytime, matte smokey look. If I have more time I also add some more definition to eyes with a liquid eyeliner and top everything off with a mascara.

Brows
I've already written a lot about my eyebrow routine, so just to mention my favourite products: to define them I use Anastasia Beverly Hills Brow Wiz in Taupe, for a more fuller appearance I use Benefit Gimme Brow gel in Light/Medium and to set them in place - L'Oreal Brow Artist Plumper in transparent.

Face
My skin has been very clear lately, so I've changed up my foundation routine quite a bit and I'm now able to wear more light-medium coverage foundations. My favorite one in 2015 was definitely Bourjois 123 Perfect CC cream in Nr. 51. I personally was never a fan of all the BB and CC cream trends, because I have very oily skin - every BB or CC I've tried out made me look greasy and faded rather quickly. However, the Bourjois CC cream has definitely been the best one I've ever used, especially now in the winter time, when my skin needs some more hydration than normally. It gives you a great, yellow based coverage, which is very important, because it's quite hard to find a yellow based shade, but still light enough for my pale skin tone. And if I needed just a touch more of coverage I used my trusted Mac Pro Longwear concealer in NC20, the best, long-wearing, very high coverage concealer.
2015 has definitely been a year of highlighting. I watched many different YouTube tutorials on highlighting, but my favourite was from Wayne Goss - his video introduced me to the "Halo effect". This technique gives you a more natural glow, becuase you apply it in circular motions all around the cheek area, instead of just one straight line. For this "halo effect" (a more subtle highlight) I used Mac Soft and Gentle and for a more intense highlight I used TheBalm Mary Lou-manizer.
For 2015 I cannot decided on just one favourite blush, because I've tried out so many. Besides my trusted Mac Peaches blush I've been constantly using Freedom blush in Angelic, another peachy toned, very affordable blush. Another Mac favourite has been Fleur Power blush, which gives you the perfect rosy hue to your cheeks. I also absolutely loved wearing MaxFactor Creme Puff Blush in 15 Seductive pink, which has a very similar texture to the Hourglass Ambient light blushes. For contouring I've been using my trusted Benefit Hoola bronzer, the most versatile bronzer, perfect for different skin tones.

Skincare
To remove my makeup I have been using Bioderma for years now - it has been working out perfectly for me. It's very gentle - very suitable for a sensitive skin type just like mine. For the under eye circles I've been using First Aid Beauty Triple Eye Remedy, pink (salmon) toned eye cream to cancel out the blue/purple hue. I usually use it just before I start applying my makeup. And the last (but certainly not least) product of 2015 is my trusted St. Tropez Gradual tan body lotion in Light/Medium, which keeps me looking tanned and glowy. If you would like to know more about this product just click here to read a whole review post about it.

So this is it for my 2015 beauty favorites. Hope you enjoyed this post! In the comments below let me know your favourite prodcts from last year! I would love to try out some new products.

Talk to you soon!

What 2015 has taught me

Good Morning!

I'm back with another update post. Firstly I would like to wish you all a happy, peaceful and very successful 2016. I hope you spent the holidays with your friends and family and that you had a great time.
In 2016 I decided to make some changes regarding my blog, Blush. After the whole relaunch in October last year, I had been posting every single work day, with no exception whatsoever and I'm really proud of that. I proved to myself and others that I can do it. However, if you have been following my recent posts on Instagram, I've been planning/preparing a lot for 2016 - lots of projects as well as school work, which will definitely take a lot of my time this year.  That's why I decided to start posting less frequently than usual - not every single day, but two or three times a week. I just feel like I can prepare better quality posts for you that way. So I chose quality over quantity for 2016, hope you don't mind that.
I have also prepared a variety of topics that I want to cover in my upcoming posts. I want to focus a bit more on the lifestyle side of this blog and not just beauty or fashion. I want to write about topics I enjoy and are relevant to all of us. And if there is anything specific you would like me to write about, reviews of specific products, DIY's etc. don't hesitate to let me know - just comment below the posts. I will appreciate all your suggestions, because I love when you get involved as well.

Now back to the original idea of the post, which you saw in the title. 2015 has been a difficult yet still an amazing year, filled with both ups and downs. I learnt a lot in the past year, especially about how to react in certain situations, how to never give up (even in most difficult situations), but mainly how to stay positive.

Here are some of the lessons 2015 has taught me:
1. Don't leave things until the last minute because I always regret it in the end.
2. Now I know how to unapologetically say no to unimportant things.
3. Plan everything.
4. Stay humble and realistic.
5. Work hard and save money. You never know what the future has in store for us.
6. Don't be afraid to try out new things. Get out of your comfort zone, because you'll be surprised how it can change your perspective on life and people.
7. Stay positive, which is hard in the 21st century, when the media constantly bombards you with an endless amount of negative news.
8. I am officially in my twenties now, which does scare me (not gonna lie) but I'm prepared for the new challenges that'll come in my way.
9. This year I learnt how to properly take care of my skin. Even though I would call myself a beauty blogger, I have never really cared that much about my skin, which is awful, I know. But now I have my own routine that I stick to it and works perfectly for me.
10. At last, in 2016 I picked up my camera more, took a lot of pictures (not just for the Instagram, but also for myself) and still enjoyed the moment I was in. Perfect combination!

I feel like 2016 is going to be an amazing year. And I would absolutely love it, if you would share it with me.

December's My Beauty Box

ENG

Today's post features December's edition of My Beauty Box. Even though it's already January, I thought it was worth mentioning it anyway, because it's a great monthly subscription box full of beauty goodies. You can still order all the products separately, if you don't want the full box. December's Beauty Box contains Essie's "Summit of Style" nail polish, small Yankee Candle in the Red Apple Wreath scent, Ginvera BB cream sample, Macadamia Deep Repair Mask deluxe size sample, Weleda hand cream and some sweets. They are all great products to try out - very appropriate for the holiday and winter season.
This post is mainly intended for my Slovene readers, because it's only available in Slovenia. But I still wanted you to be a part of it. Hope you all had an amazing time during the holidays and have a nice start of the week! Talk to you soon.

SLO

My Beauty Box storitev sem vam predstavila že v eni izmed oktobrskih objav, v decembru pa so me presenetili z novo pošiljko.
"Summit of Style" odtenek se bo odlično ujel z mojo ostalo Essie kolekcijo.

Hvala My Beauty Box za to čudovito presenčenje. Če vas zanima njihova storitev, vam predlagam, da si ogledate njihovo spletno stran in jo čimprej naročite, da boste tudi vi vsak mesec z veseljem pričakali nov My Beauty Box!
