Hi! I'm a 23-year-old blogger living in Ljubljana. Stylist and video maker, currently running

Youtuber products: Really worth the Hype?

I've been following YouTubers for a while now because I want to stay updated with the whole blogger & vlogger community. YouTuber's products have become very popular in the past few years and now it seems like everyone wants to come up with a project of their own. From books to lashes and cosmetics - they became popular very quickly. But are these best-selling products really worth the hype? I decided to finally purcahse some of the items from Feel Unique and test them out myself. First up is one the most popular beauty guru's on the internet - Zoella. With over ten million subscribers, she gained her internet fame very quickly and launched her own Zoella Bath and Body beauty line in 2014. I decided to try out the same two products from two different lines she offers - Soak Opera from her first collection and Foam Sweet Foam from the Tutti Fruity range. I didn't know what to expect from the scents, whether I would like them or not, so I decided to buy the products that were quite reasonably priced for the amount of product you get and that I use on an everyday basis, so I knew that I would use them up quickly. First thing you have to bear in mind before reading this review is that these products are obviously targeted for her younger audience - from early teens to the young adults - which consequently explains the packaging, titles of the products and scents.

Zoella Beauty Soak Opera Bath Soak&Shower Cream

What it claims: Keep calm with this "beauty in a bottle" bath soak. Vitamin E, Shea Butter and Aloe extracts soften and condition the skin while the delicate fragrance calm the senses with soothing floral notes. Say hello to you new bubbly bestie! Pour this creamy body cleanser under warm running water or apply straight to damp skin for a gorgeously scented bath or shower.

Retail price: 6,75 eur for 490 ml

My experience: I've seen a lot of youtubers and bloggers complaining that they didn't like the smell of the Shower Gel or even that it doesn't smell of anything. I, however, absolutely adore this scent because it reminds me of the Marc Jacobs Daisy perfume, which I already own and love. The smell is a combination of nice light floral and sweet smell, but still very fresh. In reality you do get a decent sized bottle for a very affordable price that will last you quite a long time. The texture feels greats on your skin and leaves it very smooth. It's nothing over the top or my HG product, but it's a nice product to try out if you like Zoella. The packaging is very girly and pretty looking, just like Zoella's whole brand. It's personally not my cup of tea, but I can see many people liking it.

Zoella Beauty Tutti Fruity Foam Sweet Foam Cleansing Shower Gel

What it claims: Zoella Sweet Foam Shower Gel is a foaming gel that will help soften and soothe the skin with extracts of Acai and Blueberry, while the fresh fragrance leaves you feeling instantly energised! Simply gel-icious!

Retail price: 4,73 eur for 250 ml

My experience: This is, just like Soak Opera, a nice product, but you do get less product this time. It smells of blueberries - very sweet and fruity. It leaves your skin feeling silky and is quite moisutrising. Again the packaging is very cute and pretty - "Zoella style" - with the blue background and flowery lace.
In conclusion I think that these are both loveable and affordable products! So if you're looking for a change then you should try these two products, especially if you are interested in the YouTubers and their brands.

Next up is Tanya Burr, another famous "beauty guru" with her own cosmetics range called Tanya Burr Cosmetics. Unfortunately all the palettes were sold out, so I opted to try out the lip glosses that everyone raves about.

Tanya Burr Lip Glosses: Afternoon Tea and Picnic in the Park

What it claims: A collection of beautiful, high shine Tanya Burr lip glosses. The range includes all the classic shades you'll need, in a spectrum of rich crème & shimmering finishes, so you can create the perfect pout.

Retail price: 8,09 eur for 7,5ml

My experience: I really love the new improved packaging, because it makes the whole brand feel more "put together". The lip glosses have a nice creme finish, are very pigmented and smell of watermelon, which I love. They applied smoothly and the applicator made it very easy to use. The colours I've chosen are both very similar, wearable colours (picnic in the park is more pink toned). Afternoon tea is more sheer, semi opaque, peachy hue colour with some glitter in it. In my opinion this is the most wearable shade out of the whole collection. It's definitely "your lips but better" choice.
Picnic In The Park is a lovely pink shade, again very easy to wear. Now I see why everyone was raving about this shade, because it's the perfect everyday colour that will complement different makeup looks.
These lip glosses are a very affordable option, however, when talking about the price and formula, I prefer the L'Oreal lip glosses (review - click here), which are in the same price range, but smoother and more pigmented.

Have you tried any of the YouTuber's products? Let me know in the comments below.
