My Ljubljana Fashion Week Experience

Ljubljana Fashion Week (LJFW) is, just like any other fashion week around the world, the biggest fashion event in Slovenia. I had the opportunity to attend the 3rd day of #LJFW filled with amazing collections from Maja Štamol, Young@Squat, Dejan Popovic, Sanija Reja Aske, Svetlana Jaćović, Nioka and Sofia Nogard. When I got back from work, I immediately started getting ready. From hair and makeup preparation I was of course in a bit of a rush because I wanted to film my outfit before actually going to the shows. After a quick photoshoot, we attended the shows, which were amazing. I loved all the designs, especially those from Young@Squat, which were my favourite of the night.
Now for my LJFW outfit - I decided to wear my new black Zara culottes, which, to be honest, I never really liked until this season. Before trying them on in the store, I thought they would look very unflattering on my figure, but when paired with the right footwear, they look absolutely amazing and make any outfit look sophisticated and fashionable. I was definitely sceptical at first, but I was proven wrong and I am so glad that I've purchased them! They are definitely going to be my favourite, key wardrobe piece of spring and summer. If you are still in doubt or afraid of wearing them, just go to the shops and try them on. You'll be surprised how flattering and comfortable they are actually on. Anyway, I paired the culottes with a simple crop top from Zara, a suede waistcoat to add another, different texture to the outfit (also from Zara), my favourite white heels from Topshop and finished everything off with a House Doctor black&white bag.
It was a day filled with surprises (a lovely man offered to pay our very expensive parking fee for no special reason + a very strange but sweet compliment we were given from another lovely man on the way to the shows) and memorable experiences. I hope to do that all over again next season!

Secret Garden / New Spring Collection from Afrodita

Last Thursday I was given an amazing chance to attend a lanuch of the new Afrodita SECRET GARDEN collection, as part of the Ljubljana Fashion Week. The new collection introduces four new shower gels, both in gel and oil formula: Wild orchid, Magnolia Blossom, Romantic Peony and Lovely Roses. They all smel divine and make your skin feel nourished and soft to the touch. After the introduction of the new line, we had the pleasure to experince a fashion show, with designs from a Slovene designer Maja Štamol Droljc, who created four different dresses that go hand-in-hand with the four new shower gels from Afrodita. After the event was finished, we had some time left to chat with other fellow beauty bloggers and discuss the new line.
I had such a wonderful time, meeting everyone and being a part of the LJFW (post of my Ljubljana Fashion Week experince coming soon!).

My Current Complexion Routine

Good Morning!

After taking some time off to focus on my studies, I'm now finally back to blogging. I promise! I really did miss blogging and interacting with you, my readers, so I'm really glad that I'm back to doing what I really enjoy.
Today's post is about my current favourite complexion routine that I've been religiously following for the past few weeks. After trying out Fit Me concealer and absolutely loving it - you can read all about it here - I also decided to try out the pressed powder from the same, Fit Me collection. Just like the concealer, the pressed powder is another amazing product. I have a combination type skin, which tends to get extremely oily in my T-zone and dry on the rest of the face. That's why I need to be extremely careful when purchasing complexion products, so they don't clog my pores, make me too oily or cling to the dry patches. The Fit Me pressed powder is one of the rare powders that helps to keep my oils under control and at the same time doesn't make my foundation look cakey. Quite the opposite - it makes it look very natural and flawless. It's a very lightweight formula so you can easily touch up your makeup with it throughout the day.
My newest discovery is the Zoeva 120 Stippling Brush, which is honestly my new HG brush. I absolutely adore Zoeva as a brand in general, because they offer great-quality brushes at a very affordable price. 120 brush makes the foundation application look completely flawless, not cakey at all and it blends the foundation seamlessly into the skin. Even though I like to use quite high-coverage foundations and concealers, it will make your complexion look as natural and flawless as possible. I highly recommend it because it completely changed my foundation routine (besides my Beauty Blender, which I will talk all about in the upcoming posts). The only drawback to this brush I would like to point out is that it provides quite a light coverage, so if you have a more problematic skin type, this brush wouldn't be the best choice for you.
This combination of products has been a complete game changer for me. Highly recommend!
